SO my daughter.

6 months of pure JOY!

hey friends and fam-- just wanted to document what's going on in our world with 6 month old joybird.

so here are the well check stats:
weight = 13 lbs 14 ozs (10th % and exactly double her birth weight, by the way)
height = 25.25 inches (25-50th %)
head = 41.6 (25%)

what's goin on:
attempting to crawl (gets on all fours and rocks back and forth)

eating rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, and peas. favorites so far = oatmeal and carrots.



still screaming and squealing up a storm

her first attempt at making music. she decided to go with vocals instead of keys. surprise surprise.



taking strolls in our bob!! i repeat, strolls-- not jogs. because mom STILL has not committed to that whole thing called running that she used to love!!!

this picture wasn't supposed to be in the mix here. but anyway, here she is -- before our family christmas photo shoot, giving daddy "kissies".
not sure how this move is beneficial but she sure likes it and does it often.
playing "nicely" with pipes. she's started pulling piper's hair and i'm doing everything i can to keep this relationship thriving. i think they're growing to be fast friends.

trying to master "the sippie!!" this was also her first taste of water. didn't like it near as much as moms milk. i mean, who would?
growin some hair!!! slow but steady-- there is more than you think. it's kind of light in color and blends in nicely with her skin ;)

diaper changing has become quite the task lately...requiring two people in order to hold her down and keep her in position. she constantly wants to flip over and does it with much force. i think she's impressed with how fast and furious she can flip and wants to show it off at all times. we're not impressed, joybird! ;)

other than that, she has TWO TEETH (both on bottom) have yet to capture those on camera.... they kind of hide out under her tongue.

and she laughs laughs laughs!! i need to get that on video too. bebe and trey have named me "bozo the clown". because when bozo comes out to play, joy goes wild!! ;) vid to come. although, i'm not sure my blogging world needs to see my "bozo ways".

life is good for our little bundle of JOY!! we are loving all the joy paraphernalia that comes with the holidays. her name is everywhere and we're taking full advantage!

that's a wrap. 6 months (actually 6.5 now). best 6 months of my life!

what ever happened to predictability?...

the milk man, the paper boy, eeeeeevenen' TV!!

we were in san fran a few weeks ago along with bebe and papa joe! we stayed 6 days down in the wharf and loved every minute of it. here are quite a few pics from the trip for a little re-capping

honest ned-- last time he was in san francisco was in the 60's. he was here with dodo-- we enjoyed reminiscing with him and hearing stories of their time.

guinn and papa joe snuck off and bought some fedora's. they felt so-san-fran and wore them with pride.

a must-do jog from the wharf to golden gate bridge. it was a little further than i anticipated but worth every minute.

bebe traveled by bike and then we traded on the way home!

and now we're all in salsalito-- just across the bridge-- mighty fine little town, that salsalito.

we found "goodnight, san francisco". who knew?! now joy will never forget her very first vacay ;)

our little firecracker is 5 months old!

miss joy avery is 5 and a half months old! here's what's new in our world:

grabbing our feet and sitting for short periods without help

eating our toes

still putting everything in our mouth

getting a little attitude.

still spitting up. we hear it peaks at 6 months and then slows down. i sure hope so.

socializing with any and everyone. especially her best friend in the mirror.

naptime. she's started watching my every move...and noticing when i'm gone--

her eyes follow me out the door...saying pllllease take me with you!!

and we've outgrown the swaddle system. she started rolling around in her crib so it was time to pull it. kind of annoying because she loves that thing! it kept her all snug and warm and used to keep her in one place all night long preventing unecessary waking. oooh well.

and i think it's safe to say that these two are pretty much twins. coco and the little pumpkin head-- at kerbey lane for breakfast on halloween!

well there you go. little miss wild thing is showing her true colors more and more each day. she is such a little personality. loud and proud. loves to flirt and socialize. a tiny little ball of energy... and is proving to be very strong willed. she's gonna keep guinn and me on our toes.
