"she gets by with a little help from her friend"

the couch frequently steals pipers ball and there is absolutely nothing worse in piper's world than an unreachable ball.

helpful joybird is determined to calm her little bestie and rescue that ball so we can all be happy again.

and then she decides to make her work for it. ;)

9 month old, JOYbirdee!!!

tiny joybird is 9 months old and is turning into quite the little comedian...everything is hilarious and funny. everything we do/everything she does/everything piper does.
anyway, i'm getting pretty bad at this whole blogging thing. with her on the move i hardly have time to do anything else!
but here we go, let's start with her stats:
17 pounds 3 ounces. get it, joybird! growing oh so strong. 18th %tile-- thank you avacado's for getting us out of the 3-10th percentile ;)
standing 2 feet and 3 inches tall (27 inches). 23rd %tile
head = 17.22 inches 37th %tile
i'm proud to say that baby joy has outgrown baby jules. thanks to my mom and her trusty record keeping, my growth stats show that i was only 26.5 inches at 9 months.

our new favorite pass-time. emptying out all her drawers, carefully examining each article of clothing, putting some back, taking a few more out. it entertains for a good 15 minutes. glorious!

she's become quite efficient at walking behind this little gem. until she runs into furniture as seen here. still working on reverse.

when all else fails, iphone.

and this is what i get to wake up to every morning. pure joy-- even at 5:30am. she is simply irresistable.

a typical sleep pose. one hand out, holding a crib rail. not sure why? but whatever comforts.

dining like a lady down in pleasanton. free margarita night at el castillo. dad, beth, aaron, the bird and I all enjoyed our little mexican fiesta. joy ate chicken, cheese, blackbeans, avacado and a little bit of tortilla. as you can see, mexican is her food of choice. that a girl!!!

another day, another fiesta. this time with one of her favorite buddies ella!! they shared chicken, bananas, tofu, pasta, wheat tortillas, and cheese. oh the life of a babe.

and now, check out the little toy thief. please note her determined dash down the hall...on a mission to steal back mister giraffe!
