a fiesta to remember!

58 amigos got their fiesta on to celebrate the one, the only-- joybird!! she loved every minuto and shook her maracas 'til the sun went down.... and when el sol went down, so did she-- and all her friends... fast asleep while visions of sombrero's danced in their heads-- in empty spacious dorm rooms at the holiday guinn... while the parents kept the party going! we fiesta'd all night long and enjoyed a little something called wine night.

joybird has recently gotten in to trying to put shoes on her feet, pants on her legs, and bows in her hair. she will sit for 10 straight minutes trying the best she can to make it work (as seen below).

i'm pretty positive that you will find these videos to be quite boring but, as her mother, i find them most fascinating!! it's crazy to me to watch her thought processes as she attempts to dress herself.

CINCO!!

a year ago today i was convinced "baby-joy" would be making her debut on one of my favorite holidays. I even had a doc appointment that morning. here i sat, waiting to hear if the c-section was going to take place. no luck. i ended up carrying that little birdee around for 2 more full weeks...struttin my cinco-stuff all over town-- fully pregs, about ready to pop. this is also the day that trey and i were out and some super-cool man literally said "let me guess, twins?!?!" aaawwweessooome!

a year later (tear!!) my baby bird has grown into her own little lady--full (oh so very full) of personality!!
