turns out not where but who you're with...and hurts not much when you're around

hey friends and fam! i've found some time to sit down and blog about life. i'll start with the most recent events and work backwards. currently, mr. guinn is putting in a lot of hours studying and writing papers. remember, this was his 12 hr. semester and, as of now, he has one week left! we're cutting out a week early from school and work to fly to new york and europe so he's gotta get it all done and soon! right now, he's reading articles on the couch behind me,while piper is attempting to burry her bone underneath him (and trey's convinced it's because she trusts him more than me...sweet), and i'm just over here--you know, recording things.

two days ago was 'four-twenty'...better known as- my birthday. My aerobics students surprised me with a cd of dance songs, including 50 cent "go shorty, it's your birthday". so, we spent the morning dancing...and then they gave me a cake that was delish! here are a few pics from 80's day. this takes place once a semester-we all dress up 80's and i lead them in a ridiculous 80's workout with 80's music and dancing

my austin besties surprised me with a day on the boat at lake austin to bring in the big two-seven. after boating and wakeboarding we went to eat at hula hut. here's a few of the crew pictured below...

two weeks ago we went to san antonio to meet the varga's new puppy, sebastian!! he is a maltese and kind of looks like a mix between bear and piper. so, now our family has three little white dogs that we LOVE!

the weekend before that the carltons came to town and we went to the oasis to celebrate 26 years of hollywood hann!! we ordered drinks and watched the sunset.

the week before that we became aunt and uncle guinn!!! lila ann gossett was born and she is adorable!! congrats tj and meliss!

we were able to spend an evening on the terrace with coco and bud. i love these pictures because they look like they are in college...bud with his frat-hoody and coco the little sorority girl. ha.

as mentioned previously, trey has spent many hours on his laptop. piper likes to hang with him and show her support. this is definitely after about an hour of her bringing her toys and dropping them at his feet in hopes to play.

so that's where i come in!! entertaining our high maintenance, "i need to play fetch all day every hour, throw my ball or chase me around the house" kinda dog!

we had about a week of on-and-off rain so were were able to put the rain coat to use (provided by connie-thanks mom!)

apparently, piper's not a fan of wet grass. i had to pull her out there.....

and when we arrived...she stood there staring at me like, "seriously, can we just go back in the house and play fetch?"

our next week will be spent preparing to leave the country...guinn finishing his projects and papers, me grading finals and entering final grades. we'll be gone until may 13th and then are looking forward to heading to atlanta for the wedding we've been waiting for-- banes and mg!
